Saturday morning I am not getting up with the chickens, no way. I am planning a ride in the morning.
I am figuring to start the ride at 10 a.m. at the Los Gatos park and ride or 9:30 a.m. at my house. 10:00 AM, 25 mi, 4 LM Billy Goat, Mt Eden/Pierce Have a relaxing morning then ride your bike!
Meet at the Park N Ride in Los Gatos near Hwy 9 and 17. 4LM, 1522 Feet of climbing, burritos and beer after at Una Mas. Route sheet here:

All the Whine and Dine Rides start at 6 pm on Tuesday in front of Summit Bikes in Los Gatos, CA. After the rides we go out for fun and food at Una Mas in Los Gatos.
A hike is planned. Details will be provided this evening.
Tyler says he will be leading a mountain bike ride this evening. Possibly a leisurely ride up St. Joes.

This is a fun ride to a really interesting place. Pam found this really cool cactus garden at an estate located in Saratoga.
I am only printing a few route sheets to conserve paper. Riders are encouraged to print your own route sheets before the ride. This is the only way you can be sure to get a route sheet. I am tired of wasting so much paper.
Please note: Any eating of burritos and/or possible consumption of alcohol will occur after the Whine and Dine rides. Consumption of alcoholic beverages, including possible brewskies, will not be occurring on the ride, only after!
Please drink responsibly.

Yesterday we went to John and Rosa’s wedding. I photographed it as our wedding gift to them. It was a lovely wedding and a fun party after. Rosa was a lovely bride and we had a great time. What fun that was!
This is the second whine and dine couple to marry, Scott and Sarah were the first!

Tyler says he will not be leading a mountain bike ride this evening.
Michele Rae said, “Dan and I will be leading the Quick Spinner ride for Ted tonight. We plan to do each Hill/Ojai Billy Goat and Montalvo.”
Ride Hicks Backwards
Shannon first, half Hicks, then Kennedy other half Hicks Optional, 3LM, (5 and 6 M optional),

This is a good ride with a very hard option! It can be easy or very hard, depending on how it is ridden. Todays ride will be various paces. I will not be climbing all of Hicks. Some of the hard core riders may want to do all of Hicks and maybe even more! Note the route sheet lists the climb to the top of Hicks but this day’s ride turns around at the switchback where the hard climb starts. The rest of Hicks as an option. If you want to do the option be prepared for a longer and a challenging ride.
We will not be there for the option, so please plan to do it with a buddy!

Tyler said, “The temperature for tomorrow is predicted to be 83. I think it should be a good day for a ride. I plan to be and hope you will too.”
Ted said, “We are going to do hicks and might come back around the backside if there are any takers. I don’t have a route sheet but will do regroups on top of all climbs and will ride as a group if we go around the back side. See you tonight.”
Mellow Ride – Kennedy, half Hicks and Shannon:
3 LM/M 17 mi +
This ride has some not so mellow Hicks and Loma Almaden options.
Shannon/Kennedy and half Hicks, other half Hicks and/or Loma Almaden Optional, 3LM, (5 and 6 M optional), [Route Sheet Here] This ride can be easy, or very hard, depending on how it is ridden. Today’s ride offers various paces and grades. The easier option offers Kenndy and Shannon (3) and the not too steep part of Hicks. If you want to do the hard options, you will need to shoot out of the gate to get all of Hicks in before dark. If that is not hard enough, very hard core riders choosing this ride may want to do all of Hicks (5) and maybe even Loma Almaden (6).
Note the route sheet lists the climb to the top of Hicks but this days ride mellow component turns around at the switchback before the hard climb starts. But, the rest of Hicks and Loma Almaden are “for credit” options. If you want to do the option(s) be prepared for a longer and a challenging ride. You may want to bring lights. This week you can be both studly and/or mellow! If you plan to be studly, please do it with a buddy!

Oldest son Steve, his wife Luci and grandkids Cazden and Solomon are visiting this week. Yesterday sons Jeff and Kenneth and their families came to dinner at our house along with their families, as well as my sister, her husband and Sue’s mom. It was a great get together and it was the first time in about four years that all three sons have been together again. I made a nice dinner, we had some good wine and enjoyed a pleasant evening.
