Mountain Bike Ride For Credit!

Tyler said, “I am expecting good weather tomorrow, so I plan to do an MTB ride (makeup ride for credit).”

The Tuesday Whine and Dine road rides, all sixes!

Quick Spinners – Saratoga Sixes

UnRated but steep

This ride is called Saratoga Six. The route climbs no rated goats but is a bunch of climbing.

Mellow Ride – Sanborn

Be Green, Print Your Own Route Sheet

I am only printing a few route sheets to conserve paper. Riders are encouraged to print your own route sheets before the ride. This is the only way you can be sure to get a route sheet. I am tired of wasting so much paper.

6 LM/M; “Mellow,” are you nuts? Yes…

Be prepared for serious climbing! This is a six, yes a six! This is the one six we do on the mellow ride. It is a very pretty ride and a good workout.

WnD ride to feature large format wine

July 21, 2008

Winery that triple magnum is from

Special for July 22nd

Even if you are not riding tomorrows whine and dine ride, you may want to come to the social time after. Thanks to a good friend I was able to secure a special large format bottle of Dry Creek Valley wine from a very fine award winning winery in the Dry Creek appellation.

This wine is a mixture of  of Zinfandel, Carignane, Petite Sirah and Mourvedre and is the equivalent of a triple (yes, I said triple) magnum. (The actual definition of a “magnum” varies by variety and since this is a blend I don’t know what the formal technical term is for sizing of this format is in the world of wine. It is a bit more than four normal bottles.) This wine has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle and hopefully will be a real treat.

You are my special friends and I want to share it with you to celebrate the fun we have all had together, both on the Tuesday rides and at special events like the Russian River Rally. Please join me in thanking Pat, Nancy, Mylo and all the other people who put together last weekend’s ride.
