July 11: Friday Special Edition WnD Ride

This is a 5 LM/M ride that features the south (easier) approach to Hicks.

This evening’s ride will start at 6 p.m. at the shopping center located at Almaden Expressway and Camden Avenue in San Jose. This shopping center has a Safeway. We will ride south along Almaden Expressway, veering right along Almaden Road, through old Almaden (near the place where Sue and I got married at La Foret) up to the reservoir, right on Hicks then all the way over the top and down to Camden. At Camden we will go right and ride back to the shopping center. There is a good Burrito place there and we will have dinner and beer after the ride.

If you can’t make the ride please come for the social dinner. I know several people who are planning to come just for that.

Last note: Also, please join me today in remembering our friend Grete who died so sadly two years ago today.

Please note: Any eating of burritos and/or possible consumption of alcohol will occur after the Whine and Dine rides. Consumption of alcoholic beverages, including possible brewskies, will not be occurring on the ride, only after!
