We had a great ride yesterday. It was different for me leading the faster group. It ended up nobody opted for the mellow option. Ted was on the ride. It was great seeing him in the saddle again.
Ted does not feel like taking lead yet. He still kicked butt as far as I could see. It got chilly in the evening and the social time ended up ending early; well, ended early compared to some evenings anyway. We also had a smallish group compared to other weeks, there was about 15 people on the ride. I attribute that to the holiday.
It felt great to me bumping up my pace. I have been riding a lot lately so I felt ready to bump up my pace. I got a great workout and felt strong, a good ride.
Some of the riders were back who did the Colorado trip and the Sierra to the Sea so there was a lot of fun stories.
